Dr. Ordóñez will discuss AI, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing, in general, but also his work creating intelligent systems that can learn from visual and textual information, that can integrate and enhance human experiences, and resolve complex tasks that typically require human intelligence. He'll also discuss potential risks and biases within AI.

Calling all curious learners for this hands-on, educational STEAM workshop: 🧬 Detective Science 🧬

Children use science to crack a case! The crime happens just before the Bustertown bake-off. Mr. Baker’s big, fat, chewy, chocolate chip cookie is sabotaged and his recipe is stolen. The case kicks off with a crime scene investigation. The children examine fingerprints, mystery powders, ink samples, and teeth impressions. They also practice their memory skills to create a composite! Analyzing all the evidence is what helps pinpoint the perpetrator. The children take home a Personal Profile kit. They can use it to record their own fingerprints and other important information

North Shepherd Brewing is proud to partner with Mad Science Houston for this incredible workshop. Parents do not have to be involved in the workshop, but they do need to be in the taproom during the workshop
